C2E2 2018 Round Up!

Hey Boils and Ghouls!  It’s been a few days now since C2E2, and I’ve had some time to rest and gather my thoughts, so let’s get into it.

First off, this year’s show was huge!   It’s been growing steadily every year, but this year’s show blew the doors off the place!  I don’t know how Mike Negin and crew do it, but kudos and thank you to you guys and gals who continually make this one of the best comic conventions around!

Second, after this past weekend, I realized more than ever just how much I’ve been neglecting this website.  I always thought I was the only one who cared about this comic, and most people could take it or leave it, but there was this one guy who came up to my table that convinced me otherwise (and left me feeling a little more than ashamed for not getting the lead out and updating this site).  Apparently he had been going to the convention these past few years and hitting up my table trying to get his hands on anything new King of the Unknown related that he could.  I found this out when I told him to help himself to the free KotU postcards and he said he already had all of them except for this year’s new one, and asked me if I had anything new and when I would be updating the website again.  Ugh.  Man, did I feel horrible (and still do) that I had nothing new of substance to offer him, and any other fans of the comic for that matter.  So after this past weekend I’m going to make it a priority to get the website revamp up and running within the next few months, and start putting out new content as well (besides the graphic novel that’s in the works).

Final point of the post:  would anyone be interested in an online store to buy King of the Unknown merchandise and/or original artwork?  This was a question that came up more than a few times during the convention, and while I’ve thought about adding a store to the website, I never thought the demand for it was quite there.  So if you guys are interested in something like that, then be sure to sound off in the comments section and on the social media pages to let me know!

Well, that about wraps it up for the C2E2 2018 wrap up.  I want to thank everyone who stopped by my table and bought something or just stopped by to chat (except for that drunken dude-bro on Saturday, but that’s a story for another day)!  I am very much humbled that anyone would read this comic (or still read it with its lengthy delay), and I can’t wait to get things rolling again so you have some new content to check out, and to see what you think about it!

Thanks and all the best, gang!

Quick Update!

Ready to Rock in 2017!

Ready to Rock in 2017!

I realize it’s been a while since I posted anything here on the King of the Unknown website, but I’m working hard to make sure there is plenty of King of the Unknown content in 2017–the least of which includes a full length graphic novel, single issue comics that are exclusive at conventions, and a makeover for the website.  So, it may not look like too much is going on right now, but there’s a lot going on behind the scenes that you’ll see in due time.

If you really need your King of the Unknown fix though, then I would recommend following us at our Facebook page here, and on Twitter here, as those are updated more regularly than the website, and feature some exclusive content.

I would also recommend checking out Stache Publishing who’s publishing the King of the Unknown graphic novel next year, as they’ll have exclusive content as well, and they also have some cool comics that you should check out too!

I’ll try and have the next update sooner, but I just wanted everyone to know that there is a lot more King on the horizon, and to keep an eye out for it next year!

King Character Reveals

Hey Gang,

Check out the King of the Unknown Facebook page all week long for character reveals from the upcoming graphic novel to be published by Stache Publishing in 2017!

Here’s a taste of the first one:

King

To kick things off we have the main man himself: THE KING!

A former rock legend and film icon, the King has operated in the decades since his “death” as an investigator of the supernatural and super spy for the shadowy organization known as the IRSU (Institute for Research and Study of the Unknown). After a Magical mishap on one of his early missions, the King’s body was overloaded with otherworldly energy, resulting in a drastic physical transformation. However, the incident also gave the king heightened strength, speed, agility, as well as a keen ability to detect all things supernatural.

The King’s cocky, brash, and sarcastic demeanor seems to hide a mind that operates at a much higher level than it would initially appear.

Stayed tuned later today as we reveal another character!

Hope to see you there!
