C2E2 2018 Round Up!

Hey Boils and Ghouls!  It’s been a few days now since C2E2, and I’ve had some time to rest and gather my thoughts, so let’s get into it.

First off, this year’s show was huge!   It’s been growing steadily every year, but this year’s show blew the doors off the place!  I don’t know how Mike Negin and crew do it, but kudos and thank you to you guys and gals who continually make this one of the best comic conventions around!

Second, after this past weekend, I realized more than ever just how much I’ve been neglecting this website.  I always thought I was the only one who cared about this comic, and most people could take it or leave it, but there was this one guy who came up to my table that convinced me otherwise (and left me feeling a little more than ashamed for not getting the lead out and updating this site).  Apparently he had been going to the convention these past few years and hitting up my table trying to get his hands on anything new King of the Unknown related that he could.  I found this out when I told him to help himself to the free KotU postcards and he said he already had all of them except for this year’s new one, and asked me if I had anything new and when I would be updating the website again.  Ugh.  Man, did I feel horrible (and still do) that I had nothing new of substance to offer him, and any other fans of the comic for that matter.  So after this past weekend I’m going to make it a priority to get the website revamp up and running within the next few months, and start putting out new content as well (besides the graphic novel that’s in the works).

Final point of the post:  would anyone be interested in an online store to buy King of the Unknown merchandise and/or original artwork?  This was a question that came up more than a few times during the convention, and while I’ve thought about adding a store to the website, I never thought the demand for it was quite there.  So if you guys are interested in something like that, then be sure to sound off in the comments section and on the social media pages to let me know!

Well, that about wraps it up for the C2E2 2018 wrap up.  I want to thank everyone who stopped by my table and bought something or just stopped by to chat (except for that drunken dude-bro on Saturday, but that’s a story for another day)!  I am very much humbled that anyone would read this comic (or still read it with its lengthy delay), and I can’t wait to get things rolling again so you have some new content to check out, and to see what you think about it!

Thanks and all the best, gang!

This weekend (April 21-23) come on out to Chicago’s biggest comic convention, C2E2!  I’ll be there in preparation for the release of the King of the Unknown graphic novel early next year (along with some other KotU related stuff), and tabling with fellow Stache Publishing alum, Jordan Williams, who will have the latest details on his comic “Gunpowder Witch”.  So if you’re in Chicago this weekend, then stop on by C2E2, and find us in Artist Alley at table J4 and say hi!

C2E2 2015 April 24-26

Hey Gang,

I’ll be at C2E2 this upcoming weekend (April 24-26) at table D6 in Artist Alley!  Stop on by and I’ll have tons of King of the Unknown merchandise including comics, buttons, and prints.  I’ll also have some non KotU prints as well, so come on by and and check it out!  I will also be doing a signing at the Geek Bar booth on Saturday and Sunday from 3pm-4pm for some t-shirts and print designs I did for them.  It will be a fun weekend and I hope to see you there!
