Awww, look at King in that first panel – what a rascal he is! Anyway, things are now starting to build towards the end of the story and the King vs. Granny showdown you’ve all been waiting for. If you’ve been holding your breath for the action (and not of the elderly-on-elderly variety, I mean) to start and the fisticuffs to fly, well you shall have it shortly, my friends!

On another note, King of the Unknown has been added to the Top Webcomics List, so please take a moment and vote for it there. And watch it climb the rankings with every vote!

Also, hopefully you’ll have a new page next week, too. My buffer of pages is running low and I’m swamped with some other work I’ve been trying to take care of…so we’ll see how things go here.

With this page we’re pretty much at the halfway point of the first story, and also one step closer to seeing some old-fashioned granny fightin’!  

On a separate note, I should also point out that what you see above is not what an actual dashboard of a Caddy looks like.  I figure King and Vinny probably tricked their ride out with all kinds of weapons and doodads to be used on King’s various missions.  So before some wise-ass points that out, read this posting!

A lot of work goes into this comic, so I hope everyone has been enjoying the adventure so far — hopefully, if you have, then you’ve also been telling other people about it and getting the word out to the world.

All right, next week King enters the retirement community of doom!  Fighting shall ensue shortly!

Time to check back in on Granny! Can you guess what she’s watching? Special thanks to my friend Bernie Gonzalez for the suggestion of movie choice and dialogue. Good call, gentle sir! Also, looks like one of my favorite characters didn’t make it after all. Poor Jeff Doyle, you can’t even come back as a zombie, because you were decapitated. Seems like the Dullahan has taken a liking to television, though…and popcorn.

I should be getting back to 2-page-a-week updates soon. Not sure we really have the massive fan following to warrant it yet, but I really want to get this thing moving because I have a lot of stories to tell with these characters (six “seasons” worth, to be exact).

Soooo you know how I said last week that there wouldn’t be any more kinky granny business? Well, I guess I lied, but surely this week’s little repeat performance can’t be quite as scarring, right? …Okay fine, I admit, it’s just as bad. At least the rest of this story is free of elderly perversions, so you can relax now – you have my word on it. Honest.

Also, I’m looking for suggestions as to what I should include in the King of the Unknown newsletter. Maybe exclusive wallpapers? Behind-the-scenes extras? Leave a comment below and let me know what you guys might want to see.

And while I’m asking you guys for feedback, is anyone interested in King of the Unknown t-shirts or prints? Is that something you could get behind? I’m not going to get anything printed up unless I know that there is some significant interest in it. Don’t worry, no gross granny sex acts will end up on any shirts or prints. I can promise that you will never have to see or wear that.

Have you all returned after vomiting from the sight of this week’s unspeakable horror?  Good.  See, I told you this one was going to be a whole new level of bad — though obviously not bad enough for some people.  I remember how after spending weeks warning my editor Andrew about this page, when I finally showed it to him he went, “Oh, that’s it? That’s nearly as bad as I expected.”  Are you kidding me, Andrew?!  How can it possibly get any worse?!  You have a sick and twisted mind, sir, and I fear I’ll have to stop paying you in Bavarian porn.  Those Bav’s are into some kinky shit.  (Note to our Bavarian readers: that was just a joke and I hope you don’t take it personally. I’m sure your porn is no more or less kinky than the rest of the world’s. Neither Andrew nor I support porn discrimination.)

Anyway, if your sight has returned by next week, I do hope you’ll join us for some more King of the Unknown.  No more kinky granny sex acts. I promise.

Hey Gang, due to my work load, we’ll have a few more weeks of one page updates.  I’d rather keep the quality of the comic high instead of knocking out a few extra pages just so there’s more than one update a week here.

Speaking of keeping the quality of the comic high, I think this week’s flashback page of the Dullahan’s origin turned out really well.  It’s not a particularly detailed page, but all the elements really came together on this one.  And yeah, I know it kind of looks like King is pinching one out in that last panel…but hey, channeling psychic powers will do that to a guy.

Also, next week we finally get to the shocking, horror-filled page 18 that I’ve been hyping up on our Facebook page. Can you stomach the horrors that await you in the coming week?  Will you ever come back to this website after witnessing the unthinkable???  How many question marks is too many question marks????????????????????????????? I’d say about that many.

I remember after I sent an early draft of this page to my editor Andrew, he sent me an e-mail back and was like, “So Grace is like Special Agent Scully, and King is sort of a Special Needs Agent Mulder?”  That cracked me up — I never thought of it like that, but it’s totally true.  Special Needs Agent Mulder, indeed.  Also, anyone else realize that King is shown half-naked an alarming amount in this comic?  You’re welcome, ladies…and that one creepy dude who keeps sending me e-mails asking me to draw nude pictures of King riding a horse bareback.  Stop e-mailing me, man!  And I know that’s you who keeps calling me, breathing all heavy and saying, “Mmm,  you sound like you got a pretty mouth, boy.” I do, and thank you, but still!
