King Unplugged Page 30

Swords and Old People Don't Mix

The Sword and the Granny

Hey Gang,

I didn’t want to make you guys wait any longer than you already have to read new pages, so here’s a lettered black and white page.  Updated color pages coming soon!  I promise!

I had a bad case of the flu over the holidays, but things are getting back on track, I want to thank everyone who keeps coming back to the website for sticking with us while you wait for these meager updates.  I really appreciate all of your support and hanging in there with me while I get this comic back on track.

All the best, and have great New Year!

Getting Back On Track

Hey Gang,
It’s been a loooooong time since I posted any King news on here, so I figured I should pop in and say something, especially since the one year anniversary of the webcomic is almost here (can’t believe it’s been one year already……

where does the time go?).

Anyway, things got a bit thrown off track after NYCC, but I’m hoping to have things back up and running on a more regular schedule in the new year. Also, I hope to have a new colored page up on the site before the end of this year too. In the mean time, why not check out some other webcomics like Teenage Love Zombies? Kevin Gentilcore who makes TLZ recently ran a segment on his site listing his favorite webcomics of the year and graciously included King of the Unknown on his list.

Thanks Kevin! If you enjoy KotU then Teenage Love Zombies should be right up your alley folks! check it out!

O’ King Where Art Thou?

Hey Gang,

Yeah, I know it’s been a looooong time since I’ve posted a new King of the Unknown page up here (even longer since I posted a full color one), but work is still being done on the King, so I haven’t given up on it if that’s what you’re thinking. Quite the contrary actually – part of the reason I haven’t posted anything new in a while is I’ve been kind of hoping to find a print publisher for KotU, and I didn’t want to run the whole story online before a print version came out. So if there are any publishers reading this right now that are interested in the King, I would love to hear from ya!

Also, since it’s the holidays and I could use some extra cash, I’ve decided I will take on a small handful of commissions at a super cheap price! For anyone that is interested, you can contact me here.

Since we’re talking about the holidays, I also have a fine gift idea for the comic fan in your life, how about the Once Upon a Time Machine anthology from Dark Horse Comics?  With 25 different stories and weighing in at over 400 pages, this mutha has something for everyone in it!  Also, I may have done artwork on a 32 page story in it…and KotU editor extraordinaire Andrew Carl may have edited this beast of an anthology…just sayin’ is all.

Happy Holidays, everyone!  More King soon!  I’m workin’ on it!

Judo: An elderly person’s natural weakness!!! That and Werther’s Originals…

Hey Gang,

I’m still working on finishing up the linework for the rest of this story before I get into coloring these pages, but I didn’t want to keep you waiting so here is a black and white lettered page for you to read in the mean time.

Not too much is left of the story to finish illustrating, so I should have some finished colored pages for you to check out soon.

Slowly but Surely…

Hey Gang,

Sorry things have been dead around here lately, and hopefully everyone had a Happy Halloween.  Ever since I got back from New York Comic Con a few weeks ago I’ve been playing catch up on a lot of things and have just now been slowly getting back up to speed, so bare with me just a little bit longer here.  I’ll probably post a page of lettered linework some time during next week, so keep an eye out for that, in the mean time though, King of the Unknown was featured over at Comic Booked in their “Wednesday Webcomics” feature this week, so check it out here folks!

Alright, let’s get things rolling here and get this first King adventure over with already!  I’ve got so much more planned for the big guy that I want you guys to see!
